Why ThriftEd?

ThriftEd Mag stands for “Thrift” “Editorial.” We style fashion editorials with secondhand garments and host our own experimental pop-up shops in an effort to make reuse modern.

Eight years ago, ThriftEd Mag released its first edition in 2017 in Blacksburg, Va. This 10-page print publication featured 13 fashion editorials styled entirely with thrifted garments. And before pop-up shops became synonymous for brand marketing, we hosted a handful of pop-up thrift shops, with one recent edition held in New York City. Many captivating thrift editorials found a home on thriftedmag.com while creatives still find community here.

With ThriftEd now on Substack, we are planning our much-anticipated second edition coming soon. Follow Instagram for more behind-the-scenes content and don’t forget to subscribe.
